Welcome October! it is finally an Autumn season! Just an update in the front of our cottage (almost done) well not yet! LOL. All the windows are back and we are now in the planning stage on how we will cover up the whole roof, we needed to cover the roof asap before winter comes hahaha. Lets hope for the best hehehe

Our Cottage Journey

Those of you who have been here in my blog for quite some time now know that we (my husband and I) are renovating our small cottage or as they called it “Stuga or Torp” in Swedish. I know it takes years and years of progress because we are doing it all by ourselves with a little resources and tight budget on hand, but it’s okey because we are enjoying each of every moment of it plus we’re not in a hurry to move in on it anyway! We just enjoying and learning the process of doing it.

The last owner has taken down all the roof tiles and replace it with this metal roof (which is look awful!)

Can you imagine! this is the cottage before (picture above) year 2018 when we started clearing out around the house. It surrounds with lots of bushes and apple trees, nestle in the middle of a jungle with overgrown grass. All windows are in bad shape and it has a one leaky roof.

Here at the back of the house that looks bad, the wall has so much green algae and trash everywhere.

And so autumn season comes! everything turns into yellow 🙂 it nice to see our cottage in full view and it seems like it is the first sunset that our cottage saw for a very long time.

we stop working in the cottage for time being because of autumn and winter season. we decided to continue it early spring next year 2019.

our land include two small forest where we love exploring and foraging mushroom .

UPDATE SA HARAP NG BAHAY | BAUHAUS MINI HAUL

Just a quick update of what is currently done in the front of our cottage and we have a mini Bauhaus haul, where we bought the new insolation we will be using in the new window wall :). Our work will be move backward because it is already autumn season! it’s getting much more colder and dark as day pass. Lets hope for the best hehehe

PAINTING IT RED | OUR SMALL SWEDISH COTTAGE

Our small cute little cottage! Buhay probinsya at nagpintura na ng dingding bago pa mag-autumn at winter. I’m using a Falu red or falun red paint it is a permeable red paint commonly used on wooden cottages and barns in Sweden, Finland, and Norway.

MANO MANO ANG LABA | MARUNONG RIN MAGTAHI

Pag minalas ka nga naman at nasira ang washing machine balik sa mano mano na laba LOL! BTW pakita ko pala sa inyo yung singer fashionmate ko na sewing machine. Sobrang gamit na gamit ko to lalo na pag nabili ako ng mga secondhand na kurtina at pinuputulan ko 🙂 bagay na bagay para sa mga beginner pag dating sa pagtatahi. Natapos ko narin pala yung punching needle ko na throw pillow case.
