If you are looking for a fun and memorable experience in Davao you must try whitewater rafting! 😉 and Base Camp Davao provides this unique service. The package cost 1,500 pesos per person which is inclusive of transportation, food,Basecamp T-Shirt, safety gears, guides and CD of all the pictures 🙂 supah sulit diba.

To schedule a trip with them, you must book ahead of your schedule plus they require at least 5 persons per trip but you can join the schedule of others if your group is below the required minimum number of persons. Well, if you really want to go out on your own group with less participants and with no other groups going on same schedule, you still can although you have to pay for the cost of other 5 persons.

The rafting takes 2 to 3 hours to finish the 13-km long course.

They can schedule 2 rafting trips in the day and my friends and I decided to choose morning batch that starts at 7 am  in the morning. We were picked up by basecamp jeepney from our hotel to their office where we got first our gear and signed waiver forms. It takes about an hour jeepney ride towards the starting point (put-in area) at Tamugan bridge.

contract signing LOl 🙂
White water rafting is not new to me 🙂 because this is my second time to try this kind of activity, first is in CDO.

Calaguas Island 🌴 | Camarines Norte, Philippines

Calaguas – Beautiful Island from its clear water, powdery white sand like Boracay and a peaceful surrounding is almost like a paradise 🙂 definitely one of the best island to visit nowadays! specially if you’re tired visiting crowded beaches. A very laid-back island, simple and stress-free, far from the hectic city life!

Superfriends class picture

Calaguas is an island located in the province of Camarines Norte, Philippines. As part of our DIY Bicol Region tour this year, my friends and I decided to include this lovely place in our trip. Guys! for almost 2 hours of rough boat ride was totally worth it.

Gonna share some photos why I love Calaguas 🙂

Pitched our tents by the beach and party party at night! 🙂 Tents are the main accommodation in the Island so make sure you know how to assemble it :). You can also rent a cottage nearby but if you are off the budget..  well, better sleep under the stars 😊 hehehe. The island’s source of water comes from a deep well you need to pay 10 pesos per bucket of water. Don’t expect too much from the toilet either as it very basic but really clean.

grrr! nakapikit ako hehe 😊 another great activity in Calaguas (katig ride)

Water here is excellent for snorkeling just remember to bring your own equipment or you’ll have to rent for it 😊 Even if you are just at the boat you can almost see it, truly amazing!!!

jump shot!!!😊 to complete the fun with barkada!

Spent the whole day swimming and sunbathing/ beach bumming like you own the shore 😊LoL! don’t forget to bring you monopod

Mahabang buhangin is one of the best beaches I’ve seen so far. The white sand, pristine water and the clear blue sky will surely melt all your stress and sadness. So peaceful and calm this is the best time for a great vacation.

What a nice view when you wake up in the morning! Fist thing you can do is to walk along this stretch pristine white sands with crystal clear blue water so relaxing and energizing 😊

Sobrang linaw😊 Water is so clean/ my picture says it all! 🔍

The view from the hills is spectacular and breathtaking. Sunset is love love love! 😊 Ask the local to find the pathways to climb the hills. No cellphone signal so don’t even bother, no calls and text for the meantime 😊

Overall, our stay was worth it and memorable. The place is just so amazing!! I can assure of that! The beach boasts of clear blue water, white fine sand, peaceful, serene and beautiful. Calaguas is definitely a piece of heaven 😊  the beauty of God’s creation at its best. I’ll be back again for sure!!

KAWASAN FALLS | Badian, Cebu Philippines

KAWASAN FALLS – (Badian, Cebu Philippines)

Kawasan Falls is located inside the mountain of Barangay Matutinao, Badian Cebu. From City proper it will takes about three hours bus aching ride to get there but if you have your own car or rented van I guess your time travel will takes only an hour or two. I so love this place, the water is so clear and cold.

Kawai kawai sa Kawasan Falls 🙂

This peaceful place is really worth a visit where you can enjoy many waterfalls!! yeah right! Kawasan has many waterfalls. From the entrance you will have to walk uphill to get to the first waterfall (picture above) is the largest one and on peak season it usually crowded. You need to climb uphill to see the second falls and the other remaining falls. Take note for the environmental fee cost 10 php per person. Don’t take guide at the entrance they might charge you a hundred bucks!! believe me!! (everything has a fee!!..:P)

Cottages and tables are also available for rent (i don’t know the rate nowadays), there are some rooms available for overnight stay too! If you are on a strict budget, its much better to bring your own baon (food). Not worth buying and most of the things on the menu are out of stock or you will ended up ordering pancit canton lol 😛

You can rent a raft to take you around the falls. They call it shower massage!! really awesome!! life vest is also for rent.
It cost 300 php for 15- minutes ride under the gushing waterfalls excluding the fee to the two guides who would be controlling the raft plus the 50 php rent in the life vest.

Mt. Tapyas Coron, Palawan

Wahh! super na-extend pa kami ng isang araw sa Coron!(Me, Leny, and JJ)  How sad 😢! our supposed 9 AM flight was delayed and later on na-cancel na due to some technical problem (DAW) ng plane and to makeup for the airline’s inconveniences, we were given a free food and hotel accommodation plus a free ride pa from airport to the centro town which is Okey na sana kaso sobrang badtrip!! as in 😭 at my pasok pa kami kinabukasan WHY kaya? hmmm siguro may mga hindi pa kami nagagawa sa Coron na kailangan naming gawin 😜.

*think Misay, think!!! ouch.. OO nga! as per bestluck JJ nakalimutan nya raw bumili ng pasalubong at as per Leny gusto nya raw mapuntahan yung kubo sa  MT. TAPYAS and ME well, hindi ko pa naakyat ang MT.

Kaya if I were you guys! if you’re planning to go to Coron I wont suggest Amphibiko lodge. Period!

Mount Tapyas – Coron, Palawan (view from top)

Maiba naman tayo sa aming lahat ako lang naman ang di umakyat sa MT. TAPYAS. (I made up my mind not to climb in Mt. Tapyas dahil nga ang taas-taas at di ko yata kakayanin 😂 and yet isa pa ako sa na kasama sa macancelled ang flight argh!! parusa ba talaga 😂

Mga sad face  except si Joel mukhang siya lang ang masaya

Maybe it is true that you won’t leave Coron without visiting the famous Mt. Tapyas (one reason I guess why I needed to stay 1 day more in Coron haha just to conquer it). As soon as the van left us in the hotel we immediately went to Tapyas and my nightmare start! To those who don’t know Mt. Tapyas is one of the popular destinations in centro town Coron and the main attraction is the big white cross plus you can see the view of the whole island. This viewpoint is really high that you have to walk up a lot of steps so don´t forget to take some bottled water with you. Wear comfortable shoes and breathable clothing because the mountain has 700 plus steps to reach the summit but once you’re on the top, embrace yourself for another breathtaking view of the coron bay. I recommend you to go there before the sunrise and sunset to catch the amazing view.

Lusong Gunboat | Shipwreck Snorkeling – Coron, Palawan

The next stop was something that tickled my curiosity mind! THE TITANIC!!! 😂 hehe just kidding! Seriously speaking this post is all about shipwreck. According to our boatman (James) there were about 40 or more shipwrecks at the area but only a few of it were seen in Coron. Shipwreaks are scattered throughout the islands and some of it are still in one piece and completely intact.

Sunken Japanese Wrecks:  Lusong gunboat wreck

SKELETON WRECK and LUSONG GUNBOAT are the only one I remember 😂(ang dami kasi nila) and one of my favorite one is LUSONG GUNBOAT because you can almost see the whole boat lying on the seabed. How wonderful is it because you can actually go and stand on the tip of that boat when the tide is low. I wasn’t able to do that because I’m not a good swimmer 😉.
